Original Swedish oil on board by Hans-Erik ERIKSSON. A serene landscape depicting a lake and the trees surrounding it. Dominated by hues of blue, this piece focuses the viewer on the sky’s reflection – the undulating water capturing the colours of the sky above in a mirror effect. Green is the second most dominant colour, the lake reflecting the trees’ shadows in deep green punctuated by brown. Brushstrokes are precise but without creating fixed contours, other than where the canopy meets the sky.
